AI testing · Playwright automation

Quality engineering for AI products and web apps.

TBS Tech Services tests AI chatbots, RAG assistants and agents before your customers find the failures, and builds Playwright test automation your team owns and runs in its own CI. Every finding is reviewed by a QA engineer before it reaches your report.

Why do normal test suites miss AI failures?

Traditional tests expect the same input to give the same output. AI products answer in different words each time, so exact-match checks either fail on harmless changes or pass on wrong answers. AI testing needs checks for facts, safety and format, plus repeated runs that measure how often the product gets it right.

  • Facts and sources. Does the answer match the documents you approved, and does it say so when it doesn’t know?
  • Safety and leaks. Can a user make it reveal private data, ignore its instructions or take an action it shouldn’t?
  • Consistency. Does it give the right answer every time you ask, or only on a good day?

How can you trust AI to test AI?

You can, if the AI never decides alone. We run deterministic code checks first, use a golden dataset you approve as the source of truth, and use an AI judge only for fuzzy qualities, with a written rubric and quoted evidence. A person reviews every failure before it reaches you.

AI handles the volume. A QA engineer signs off on every finding.

What do you get at the end of an engagement?

You get evidence you can act on and tests you can keep running. Findings arrive ranked by impact with steps to reproduce each one, and everything we build for testing lives in your repository.

  • A findings report, ranked by impact, with reproduction steps and the full logs behind each result
  • The golden dataset, built from answers you approved
  • Runnable test code in your repository, with traces and video on failure
  • Pipeline configuration so the tests run in your own CI
  • A short readout that explains what to fix first

Frequently asked questions

How is testing an AI product different from testing normal software?

Normal software gives the same output for the same input, so exact checks work. An AI product can answer correctly in many different words, and wrongly in a convincing tone. We test facts, safety and format with code, then repeat each test several times to measure how often the product gets it right, not just whether it did once.

What does AI testing or Playwright automation cost?

Each project is quoted on its scope, so there’s no price list. The main cost drivers are the number of AI features or user journeys, how much source material the AI answers from, how much test code already exists, how complex your pipeline is, and how much reporting you need. Do you replace our QA team?

No. Work is per contract and sits alongside your team. We find problems, hand over the evidence and the test code, and your engineers keep running it. If you have no QA yet, the Playwright suite we leave behind gives you a base to build on.

Who owns the test code and the golden dataset?

You do. Playwright tests are written in your repository in plain, readable code and run in your CI. The golden dataset is built from answers you approve, so it stays your record of what correct looks like.
